Andrew Reitsma is a photographer and designer interested in exploring the gap between images, imagination and sound.
From Signal to Source explores sound and synthesized sound using a palette of natural objects, images, wood and a viewers mobile device. The elements of sound waves are reinterpreted visually as individual motifs linked together by “cables”. Our signal does not find it’s source until a viewer introduces his or her mobile device, scans a QR-code and places their device into the piece.
