Soundpedro

With SoundWalk gone, sound artists and art professionals felt a vacuum. They had lost a high-profile event that introduced mainstream communities to sound art, a form often relegated to the margins. In response, Amy Eriksen, Executive Director of AGCC, approached FLOOD with the proposition of starting soundpedro. Angels Gate is fertile ground for this endeavor as studio program artists and musicians have long experimented in the area of sound. Soundpedro events have occurred every year starting in 2017 with multiple events set for 2024.

SoundWalk 2013

Scheduled between six and ten o'clock in the evening, SoundWalk 2013 was offer visitors an opportunity, through one of the newest postmodern art forms, to explore a city space as a virtual canvas on which artists transform the way in which we, through sight, sound and our other senses, negotiate with and navigate experience. This makes for a unique opportunity, while on a neighborhood stroll, to encounter life melded with art.
