China has 1.3 billion people who have been controlled and invaded for hundreds of years. Today Chinese culture is about economics. The poor want a better standard of living while the rich want to be richer.
As I walked through the streets and parks in Beijing, I was astounded by the vibrant mixture of sounds that bombard me from every direction. These sounds and the people that make them are the new Chinese culture.
The elderly and young practiced old traditions in any open space, while the invisible migrant workers, worked to produce the economic growth that keeps China growing.
